Privacy notice
3Lite stores health information. This page explains what we keep, why, and the control you have over it.
Who we are
3Lite is run by Shane Gilmartin, trading as Refign, 42 Middle Peak Way, Sheffield, S13 9DL, who is responsible for your information. For anything about your data, write to info@3lite.app or use the contact form on the help page.
What we store
- Account details: your name, email address and password (stored only as a secure hash by our authentication provider).
- Profile details you enter, such as date of birth, height, training experience and schedule.
- Health information you record: body weight and measurements, progress photos, food and water, steps, cardio, sleep, check-ins, any supplements or medicines you choose to log, and blood test results and reports you add (we ask for your agreement before the first one).
- Messages and posts you send in the community, if you join it.
- Your plan: which one, its status and renewal date, and a reference to your customer record at Stripe, our payment provider. We never see or store your full card details.
- The day you last opened the app, so we can see how many members use 3Lite each week. We don't use tracking cookies.
Why, and on what basis
We use this information only to run your account: to calculate targets, show your progress and send the reminders you switch on. Health information is special category data under UK GDPR, so we ask for your explicit consent before storing it. We don't sell your data or use it for advertising.
Who can see it
Only you. Every record is tied to your account and protected by database access rules that stop other members reading it. Progress photos are stored privately and are only shown to you through short-lived links. Nothing from your private records appears in the community unless you post it there yourself.
Where it's kept
3Lite runs on Supabase (database, authentication and file storage) and Vercel (hosting). Payments are handled by Stripe, which keeps payment records as the law requires, even after you delete your account. If the AI coach is enabled, the questions you ask and the relevant figures from your records are sent to the AI provider to generate an answer. When you upload a blood test report, the file is sent to Anthropic, our AI provider, only to read out the results for you to check; Anthropic doesn't use it to train its models, and we never use your health information for advertising.
Your rights
You can withdraw consent, download a copy of your data, correct it, or delete your account and everything in it at any time. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
Not medical advice
3Lite gives estimates and general guidance. It does not diagnose conditions or prescribe treatment. Speak to a qualified professional about medical questions, medicines and anything that affects your health.
